Starting a Local Chapter of Startup Grind
A graduate of the Sturm College of Law of University of Denver, Dallan Dirkmaat draws upon his legal training and business acumen as managing partner of Summit Consulting, a firm that works with entrepreneurs and startups across a range of industries. In addition to his consulting work, Dallan Dirkmaat belongs to professional organizations such as Startup Grind.
The world’s largest ecosystem of startup executives and entrepreneurs, Startup Grind connects more than 1.5 million professionals across nearly 500 cities. The organization serves its members through regular monthly events that bring together investors, educators, thought leaders, and startup executives to generate ideas, discuss funding opportunities, and share strategies.
The group invites entrepreneurs who live in cities without a Startup Grind presence to join the global community by starting a local chapter. Startup Grind maintains support for three types of chapters. The first of these, Startup Grind Classic, is recommended for groups in large metro areas, while those in smaller cities are encouraged to create a Startup Grind X chapter. The organization also offers support for students on university campuses through the Startup Grind U chapter option.
Those interested in forming a chapter should fill out the online application and complete the steps that are emailed in response to the application submission. After completing these steps, selected applications will move on to a video-conferencing interview and then, if approved, applicants will receive all the materials required to launch a local Startup Grind chapter.
